Jay, Can't agree more with you on the point. Timing is the name of the game even as one sees an inevitablity in the mindset. Shorting is exactly the same as going long. I agree the market is going to crash so hard (up into late Oct) even babies are going to cry at night. However, will it happen tomorrow? or the day after? Nobody knows. People get burned trying to know or thinking they already know and jump in on the shorts wagon sooner (I duly respect everyone's opinion on this thread especially Sew's analysis). Right now I am in cash watching, testing sentiments. I will wait for the clear indication of a major reversal even though I may miss a few points on the winning side. For those who have already jumped, hold onto them for the near term: there is no sense letting them go cause this last straw (re rate cut) is not going to lift but rather break the back of this panting bull. Patience in this perspective will be amply rewarded. Conviction, folks, conviction.
