I don't have the proof, but my take on the day is that the initial earnings surprise was warmly received. Then I heard through a daytrader's room that there was some warning of future earnings due to higher costs of doing business and lower profit margins. I couldn't find any news anywhere, but I like it. :-)
If you find something, please share. I'll keep an eye out also.

For those interested. One of the stocks I follow, RFMD announced after hours that they will exceed expectations this quarter. May be a very nice day trading opportunity tomorrow.
