Another MG earnings play: InterVoice Announces Record Results for Its Second Quarter September 16, 1998 14:29 already up 2 today..

DALLAS, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- InterVoice, Inc. (Nasdaq: INTV) announced today record revenues of $33,070,279 and earnings of $4,424,140, or $0.30 per diluted share, for its second quarter of fiscal 1999, which ended August 31, 1998. Revenues and earnings were $29,276,334 and $2,216,181, or $0.14 per diluted share, respectively, for the same quarter of fiscal 1998. The Company's Domestic Customer Premises (CPE) sales grew 37% versus the same period of the prior fiscal year and constituted 69% of total sales. Worldwide Telecommunications (Telco) sales constituted 13% of total sales and declined 30% versus the same period of the previous year. However, in the previous year two large sales to Latin American telecommunications companies constituted 16% of total sales. Based on orders received during the second quarter of fiscal 1999 and the current pipeline of sales opportunities, the Company believes Worldwide Telco sales will improve during the next quarter. International CPE sales declined 16% versus the same period of the previous year and made up 8% of the Company's total sales. Sales of system maintenance contracts made up the remaining 10% of the Company's total sales. No customer accounted for 10% or more of the Company's total sales during the quarter.
