Dipy:

So now we finally know who the big investor holding down
the price of LSI has been all these months!!! <g>

I've been keeping an active eye on the passive guys (could not
resist) for some hope that Calendar Q3 marked the bottom. Kind of like ADI's 25c components if there will be no global recession in the semicon industry the passives have to get a bit more active...

AVX missed but they made some good noise about Q4:
"On a positive note, prices have begun to stabilize, and the level of business is increasing. We look forward to an improvement in the results in the December quarter."

Will be watching to see how the market reacts to the above
tomorrow for AVX.

This would be my sense - anyone got any friends at ADI who can
confirm that last q was indeed the bottom for ADI - more insider
information the better <g>

On the other side of the coin I read somewhere that Avnet reported
a weaker first couple of weeks for Sept - though I'll have to check
into that...

Certainly an interesting time...

Shane. (new theory du jour - last few years stocks have crumbled
in Oct because the stock market went up the prior few months and the "experts" were protecting their profits. Since the market has gone down pretty much in the past few months this year hoping that this Oct. is good - WAG)
