I think it also possible (possible, I said possible) that sexual stimulation of the mind, with or without body, can help some people "focus". It can have positive "performance" effects. Overcome fatigue and weariness. It can be very effective if orgasm does not result. And sometimes even when it does. I think there are biochemical/brain explanations. No, reely.

There are schools of thought on this.

Also, complete celibacy can be used to similar effect.
