As to off topic: Not so! Whatever we come up with will certainly be done in Metastock!

Now, I'm determined to feel comfortable with whatever I wind up with. So far, I like the Stochastic (14,4,3) to use as a buy and a sell (along with some capital preservation rules). I've noticed that it seems to work best on upwardly trending stocks. But, just as I noticed this around the middle of July.. the trend went the other way. Just gives me more time for study.

Until someone points out the error of my ways, re Stochastics, I'm on a mission to augment it with something else. Any suggestions? I've put Richard's suggestions ni the kit bag and am going to massage them around for a while and see how they "fit".

I'll have to check out the threads you mentioned as well as that smooooth StochRsi. Sounds neater that just a plain old Stoch!

I guess I agree - you are in random access mode! Hope you have enough chips to fund your education! <bg>

Dale

bdog,

Now I pay close attention to the 56 thread and Doug R's TA methodology. Also give a lot of credence to David J's magnet theory and milesofstyles power tool package.

Could you give me pointers to David J's magnet theory and milesofstyles power tool package? I found the 56 thread and have followed Doug R.

Thanks!

Dale
