thebeach,

<kinda looks like my Sep calls are gonna bite the big one,what is your price prediction by Friday?>

I'm not one to crystal-ball short term prices. I see no reason why NN should go up substantially between now and Friday and if your holding Sep 25 calls, kiss them goodbye.

<Ciena has been absolutely a shocker>

Tell me about it !!! I still have the bruises from that one. Add me to your list of CIEN victims.

Good luck to you on those calls ...

Cheers,

Peppe

TheBeach,

The only stock I've seen you recommend is shown at:

quote.yahoo.com

Down by 50% since you recommended it; illiquid; and no operating revenues; with a burn rate that will use up its Cash in less than 2 years.

If you've read Pat's posts, you'd know that she's not in CIEN;

I've never seen her advocate the use of ultra short term options: that seems to be your own strategy. Certainly you wouldn't blame Pat because you picked a losing strategy to attempt to leverage an anticipated gain in a winning stock.

And why do you seem less than sincere when you wrote,

"... I must say it bothers me to see such a fine person get burned."

or were you looking in a mirror as you typed?

Pat has been most helpful contributing significant time and energy, going way above and beyond the call of duty in helping less knowledgeable people, myself included.

Perhaps if you ever contribute one tenth as much as Pat, others will take your criticisms or posts seriously.

Ontopic:

Clarify Presentation:

Indicates they're a small company with some bright people, small number of patents pending, 1 obtained that hopes to offer a product to take care of the last mile. The presentation is weak on details: such as how much bandwidth they can deliver by Wireless technology.

A couple of the slides deal with Wireless Local Loop: Consultants estimate of the market and growth for WLL. The cost of their BroadBand WLL solution (0.8K) vs Fiber to the Home (3K) or ADSL (1K).

They think their advantage may be to:

Bypass buying Local Access rights.
Scaleable Technology
Rapid Deployment
Support High Data Rates (but don't say how high).

The pictures would lead one to conclude that their technology is just like using RF to extend a SONET loop to an Enterprise Campus Network.

However there are no words in the presentation that indicate the actual speed attainable, the distances which may be traversed, or what they expect to deliver when or at what price.

FWIW,
Ian.

Pat,gotta say it hurts me to see your work on this thread and see what your picks have done.Ciena has been absolutely a shocker and I must say it bothers me to see such a fine person get burned.

I got out of CIEN at 58 - 63. Haven't touched it since.
