>>>I seem to remember an energetic dialog about having CKFR get a "button" not too long ago. Maybe this relates:

It sure does....if you look at a portal as being the caveman form of an interactive TV network, then the Intuit deals with Excite, AOL, The BofA deal @Home, The Citi deal with Netscape, the MicroSoft deal with InfoSeek are like buying a broadcast channel on that portals PC/TV network. They own that broadcast rights and provide the content on that Channel...ie Money/Finance.

Unfortunately for most Banks...most if not all the Channels for Money/Finance on the PC/TV network have already been bought up by others. So what's left? On Intuit's Quicken.com Channel, they have Bank Partners [buttons] for on line banking & mortgage shopping already...they have Brokers [buttons] for Investments...they have Insurance [buttons] for Insurance, and CheckFree will have the [button] for Bill Presentment and Payment.

The best positioned Banks in this Portal Stuff are Nations/BofA & Citi, they have channel rights...the rest are left with buttons.
