Andrew,
I can't speculate on numbers since HDIE and HBOC chose not to disclose. Of course, it is difficult to put a dollar figure on this type of partnership since it is variable. What do the analysts know? They know that HBOC does not do small deals (I'll try to post some HBOC items tomorrow). HDIE is an unknown at this point in its history. We represent an insignificant (although we don't like to admit it) component of the market. Everyone who follows this industry knows HBOC. Tomorrow, everone in the industry (analysts I mean) will know who HDIE is and read up on them and see the value there. Analysts and institutions will be motivated to cover and buy HDIe when they see them holding hands with the King of the industry. Guess what the current provider to HBOC was when they got the HBOC business? Nothing and now they are something. HDIE will be something else. keep in mind that HBOC is only selling one of HDIe's products at this point. they have many. I understand that their Emerge has awesome potential. I mentioned earlier that one of the key factors that analysts look at before they will recommend a software company is predictability of revenue. Guess what? HDIE just locked up predictable revenue for years.

Yes, HDIE partnering with HBOC on health care only. HDIe going after financial segment on its own and with Siemens and others. Siemens will be huge rerlationship also. I am confident you will see HDIe get business with large U.S. banks as well as recent deal with foreign bank.

I think part of the problem with people understanding this is that the majority of stocks followed on SI are garbage stocks where people see press releases about deals that look like this and are disappointed because nothing happens. Nothing usually happens because most of the stocks on SI are garbage stocks. Love when I see a BB put out a release like "XYS signs deal with ABC to sell their product-worth $50 million!" Like that is going to happen. HBOC and HDIE are a different story of course. This deal is huge for HDIE. People that have the patience to learn more about the business and hang on will enoy the next couple of years. Everyone is capable of understanding this business or any other business Andrew. I claim no brilliance in this area although I have gained quite a lot of business experience working for fortune 500 companies. If people are willing to spend the time to do some DD they can learn. many here just have been conditioned to buy on the rumor and sell on the news without even knowing what the hell the company whose stock they bought even does, let alone what the industry is about. Traders will take their 50 cent profit and move on to some other "SI stock" Such is life.
