Looking for Stealth Assault
I have a synthetic long position that will be a loser in January if
Radica can't make an assault toward the high teens.
I've been all over town (MPLS) looking for Stealth Assault without
success, but have seen substantial numbers of the night vision tank
and sub games, Nascar, Trail Burner, & In-line skating game.
Target is devoting much more peg space this year for these kinds of
games and there is a lot more selection including fishing games with
rods, both longish and stubby.
I have seen the Tiger golf & other handheld competition. They don't
come with batteries so there is no in-store testing.
I'm not particularly impressed with a couple of things:
1. It is not easy to test the new games even with the minimal plastic
packaging. I think the company would do well to come up with some
kind of display where the games are secured by a spring-loaded reel
& mounted with eyecatching x-treme graphics, maybe something that
could actually use existing peg holes for a cantilever effect or something.
2. It was clear from the conference call that they can't do much
advertising of Stealth Assault cuz they don't have the product for
distribution. Unfortunate timing and disappointing. This is going to be a big 'un.

If I was a designer I'd come up with a game that is not handheld, but head-mounted with stereoscopic display ala VR with wired connections to handheld controllers...probably ends up with too much cost and need for computing power, but the power could be supplied by a battery pack worn as a belt. Radica(l)...eh?
