Jeff,

Good detective work. So, if there are 2 million tanks in the U.S., I wonder how many there were in 1988. If we know how many there were in 1988, we could take that figure and come up with a potential figure of upgrades of 2/3rds that figure.

I have a friend who runs a station in Jacksonville that I told about the CAPSCAN and he was very excited about looking into the possibility of having it installed at his station. He is going to call the company today to further pursue. He still does the dip stick routine and sends in the paperwork to the EPA on a daily basis. He felt the price was very reasonable. I'll keep everyone up to date as to the progress. He is part of a group of 15 stations, which he could be the test for. I asked him about theft and he said that the system they now have, someone could steal "a hundred gallons and they wouldn't detect it right away". He also said that the dip stick is not very accurate, that you also have human errors to worry about.
