We have a demand-driven (consumption-oriented) economy. That is primarily due to the tax laws that discourage savings and investment and the drive to produce goods cheaper and better overseas. Surpressing demand as in the recession of the 80-82 killed inflation.

Agreed!How amazingly convenient it is for the supply siders to claim victory here.I guess anything good that happens to the economy forever more is the result of RR policies.Pretty safe ,no one can disprove that I suppose.
