However, I took, and take, exception to anyone's relationship being labeled as tawdry if they do consider it to be. But this might well be a case of misreading you. I think it is chauvanistic (wow, don't think I've ever used that word) to consider that M and H are victoms and not intelligent women making their own decisions. It sounds to me like there is lot of "they're only women so they must be being used by those bad men" going on. And I just read up on Trudeau (my mother's name is Rondeau, by the way) and he was married in 1971 and divorced in 1984 after having 3 sons. He may well have been a great statesman but what was the reason for the divorce? And his sons were young at the time of the divorce. I don't bring that up to make a case, only to say that people are human. I don't know what is discussed between Bill and Hilary, therefore, I don't know what is okay within their relationship. I don't like the idea that the president of my country is in the hall having sex while the leader of another country is waiting in the Rose Garden, but if he goes to the Garden and gets the job done, who am I to say that it was tawdry, inappropriate, or destructive?
