Gary,

I hold no guru in reverence. Today, it seems in vogue to tout 6000. Okay, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Ask those gurus if they are short the market themselves or do they just sell others their newsletters?

My work put me long during last week's two day collapse. I could be wrong, but my money's on the table. So, who knows?

Gary,

I see the big indexes going to their 200dma and then tanking again.
If they cross it we will probably keep going up. But if the small caps don't lead, then we are still in the bubble stage with overvalued large caps getting more overvalued and it won't last.

There are some very cheap small caps out there. They may be cheap because we are heading for a recession. If the small caps start to move up then that suggests to me that the economy is back on track and /or a rate cut is evident. IF the small caps don't lead, then I will play the indexes if we cross the 200 dma but only on a short term basis.
