Hi William.

"I have been looking for two days for confirmation of this share buyback and haven't seen a thing on the newswires. The author of that post sourced thestreet.com. Not being a member, I don't have access. Can anyone out there who is a member confirm this post?"

there hasn't been anything on the wires.
but the post, and it's source are correct...right down to the time.
apparently the comments came out of a conference in California recently where
one of Dell's Vice Presidents spoke.

the post in question quotes the last paragraph of the article
word for word. it's a street.com staff piece.
i've sent you the link to the article in a PM.
hope you can get through the subscription portal, since i don't dare
try to post it here.

The is from the street.com

Rollins also said Dell will continue its share buyback
program. Dell's board has authorized another 80 million
shares to be repurchased on top of the 170 million already
cleared for this year. Fund managers who stayed through
the conference were happy to hear that Dell is staying its
course. Dell's stock was up 2 3/8 to 59 13/16 in the wake of
the announcement

I really enjoy reading thestreet.com. They have a 30 day free membership if your interested. (I am a paying subsrciber)
