INDEX UPDATE --------------------- For the time being, it appears that my CLASS SELLs may be starting to work. The DOW opened up around 40 points and now it is down 10. It is common for the market to close flat or down on CLASS SELL days. One thing that is bothering me since yesterday and including today so far, there has not been large negative ticks. Besides yesterdays selloff the lowest the tick got was negative 500 and only once in the afternoon. I have been following the TICK for over 2 months and it is common to have several negative tick swings in up days. I assume that since this is expiration week that may a reason for normal amount of large negative tick swings. If this continues, it will not be good for SEPT PUTS. This is not to say that the market will take off but that such action could minimise the downswing. Of course Greenspan can effect the market, and as I have stated before that the fundamentals can override the technicals. So now it depends on how the market interprets greenspan. Even if there is a rally after his talk, the rally should not be that strong and there should still be a pullback. However, such a rally would also limit the downside. Seeya
