Who is HBOC? From some recent research reports on HBOC

A major problem faced by healthcare industry is lack of information technology investement. Spending has increased from 1% to 3% of budgets recently.

HBOC is the dominant HIS company. HBOC is the market leader in 9 of 12 categories. Forecasted growth for HBC is 20-25% annually.

Estimate for spending in healthcare on information systems is $15 billion a year.

HBOC sets itself apart because of its predictability of revenues (HDIE now does as well-my comment)

healthcare organizations that will prosper going forward are those that are able to manage their information flow.

HBOC customer base is 9000. 65% market penetration in hospitals. This penetration is impotant becaue hospitals do not like to take chances with an unknown

Just a few samples. HBOC gets business because they dominate and everyone knows HBOC. Now everyone will know HDIE. I would love to be a sales rep for HDIE now being able to say I am a HBOC partner

Next year's earnings were estimated at .19

With all this recent news and the potential
in the banking industry, i see HDIE's income
easily doubling to .38 (if not more)

HBOC is carrying a pe of 50. HDIE is growing faster
but is not as reliable, give it a pe of 25 to be safer

25 x .38 = $9.50 a share

This, of course, is just speculation on my part.

Do your own DD. this is a very speculative stock

Oddly enough these first few hours after
the announcement are probably the worse.
Many of those people who were waiting for this
news are selling and taking profits.
While many of those would be most interested in HDIE
as a long term investment have not heard the news
The HDIE user conference has just started.
"presenting the new company and what great things
you can expect from us"
This news and perhaps other good news will begin to percolate out
today and during the next couple of days
while those taking a short term profit are running out of stock.
and the move towards 5 begins.
