I don't think environmental enforcement will be harmed by a Republican congress. That's one of the charges that Clinton has been successful making against the GOP. Dick Armey has stated that this will be an environmentally friendly Congress. Newt Gingrich said several years ago that he felt that the federal government had a role to play in environmental affairs because pollution crosses state lines. So your not going to get a quick dismantling of EPA laws, if at all. In any case we will be better served by a Republican Congress than an Al Gore, radical environmentalist presidency.
