Read your current fav. put targets,

1. How about MBNA (symbol: KRB? David Tice mentioned it in Barron's a week ago. Possible higher consumer bankruptcy numbers if the economy slows down. Deteriorating credit standard during the past couple of yrs? Unfavorable environment for securitization.

2. I know you like MYG as a co. With better than expected earnings, the stock may go to mid to high 50's. Still, if there is a recession in late 1999. MYG will be hurt. It is now selling higher end products into a booming housing market. A lot of its positive operating factors have to do with this asset boom cycle.

3. A lot of the mid caps and small caps seem to be undervalued. Some of them are trading at prices with recession assumption built in. I am very tempted to buy some of them. Yet, with the mega caps still wildly overvalued, index investing still dominant, internet stocks alive, and a very real possibility of a weaker economy. Should I buy them or just concentrate on puts?
