US Imposes Antidumping Duties on ROK Steel Goods

09/16 15:37

The U.S. Department of Commerce made a final determination that stainless steel wire rod from Korea is being, or likely to be, sold in the United States at less than a fair price.

According to the Washington office of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Dongbang Special Steel Co., Changwon Specialty Steel Co., and Pohang Iron & Steel Co. have seen their dumping margin rates soar from 3.18 to 5.19 percent while Sammi Specialty received 28.44 percent.

KITA explained that subject companies will have to pay antidumping duties equivalent to the dumping margin rates in addition to the import tariffs.

Phbolton,

In response to my post on 9/15, you told me that bits for pc's would not double. Do the comments in todays press release indicating that pc's are currently being shipped with 34MB, and expected to be shipped with 78MB at the end of 1998 and 94 MB in 1999 change your thinking??
