Jack,
After reading your last post, and several that you posted before it, I would like to point out a few things.
The Clinton defense is/has continuously shifted the focus of any/all investigations.
It's not about sex or his personal life.
It's not about religion.
It's not about Republican vs. Democrat.
It's not about a land deal.
It's not about people lying.
It's not about filegate/travelgate/sexgate/chinagate...
/contributiongate/sexgate2...

It's about as you request.. getting on with SS, Medicare, world economics, Russia, and the other problems facing us today/tomorrow.

If it was only about Whitewater, it'd be over with.
It's not a republican agenda. The democrats (Clinton/Reno) assigned Starr to do the job (they are not Republican).

If it was only about Whitewater, then why did all this other shit pop up, only to be tacked onto the original project -Whitewater.

It seems that before this well financed investigation can get even 1 gate-topic investigated and reported, that 2 more ____gates are started. And, they aren't being started by republicans. And republicans don't keep telling Reno and Clinton to keep putting Starr on to investing the GATE-DEJOUR (Gate of the day).

I think it's about flagrant disregard for one's responsibilities. If half of this GATE-shit had never been created by stupidity, repetitivity, selfishness, whatever, there'd be one hell of a team available to tackle the real problems of the country. Instead, I think all the presidents men are spending all their time trying to dig Bill out of the last hole he left behind, only to realize that another gate is about to be opened.

I think his staff is tired. Several have either quit or resigned (DD Wallace, G. Stepheno..., early on,), expired, disappeared, etc., and all the rest want out.

It's about Tomorrow.
I think, Tomorrow they(his team) would like to work on something meaningful. Something they'd be proud to leave behind as a legacy.

I don't think they have a chance to work on that, at least not Tomorrow.

He should resign today, so that someone can work on the problems of the Country tomorrow.
