Taichi - How about the statement: more connection thru lower vocoder rate ?

Should work well, with the number of extra users being proportional to inverse of decreased data rates. Note that this is one of the advantages of CDMAOne over the current TDMA standards - it can be made to gracefully degrade instead of just max'ing out and dropping calls. However, there is no reason that TDMA could not in theory do the same thing (decrease everyone's transmit rate when at capacity) with somewhat more difficulty - it is just not possible within the current standards to my knowledge.

Taichi this is true. Vocoder rate is a factor in system capacity and as it goes down system capacity can go up.
