Scandal Leaves Bush Leery of White House

6. Texas Gov. George W. Bush said the furor over the Lewinsky scandal has given him second thoughts about running for president. The political process is "sullied," he told the Austin American-Statesman. He said he's reluctant to enter the "bubble" of scrutiny and see his family hurt. Bush leads most early polls for the republican nomination in 2000.


It appears that Gov Bush would rather not have his private life investigated too closely either.
