Kelly, <<If we could then confirm that the overall short position has been significantly reduced, this rally could seriously feed on itself.>> It is interesting that the short covering today will not become visible to us until the end of October, if I understand the reporting process correctly. Next week we should find out the short position for September, which is for trades made by 9/10/98 and settled by 9/15/98. Do we have another way to confirm short positions? Greg
