From what I've seen the consumers as well as the corporates have tightened their belts.
You're dreaming if you expect an increase in interest rates, were that to happen we'd only teeter the balance towards a recession and a bear market as opposed to avoiding them. Run the numbers.

One of the best things I'm looking at in the market is the holiday sales and that involves not only the PC stores but the semi stocks as well. The corporates have new budgets coming up and will be upgrading about everything come January - don't let yourself be fooled about the market not knowing where the money's going long before it's spent.
