Gary, a top of the line Sun Sparc 333 w/4MB of cache currently goes for about $9500 apiece - this is normal for serious server chips - not desktop cpu's. The price drops rather quickly going to 2MB of cache or the 300Mhz speed like $5000 apiece.

Gary - Re: " How expensive comparing to Xeon ? If they are
for servers, 1000 - 2000 difference may not be that important."

How about $65,000 just for the 21264 and motherboard? This may include 4 21264's so the per processor price would be on the order of $5,000 to $15,000.
