Goug, trading pattern suggest nothing .At this point most institutional investors are waiting most likely on annual meeting.Excluding large blocks ( 100-400k) over last four days volume is super low, and on such low volume you can not make conclusion about price.Interestingly since last cc, avarage estimate did not change. At the same time we lerned form NN that TDM (which effects the bottom line ) will grow in 1999 over 1998 ( just few moths ago analysts were sure that we will see decline of about 5-10%), ATM WAN is very strong, booking for 36170 platform ( last cc) substantoally above 1, and NN has new wireless busines ( not included in june cc guidence) which as you know already is producing orders (last cc).It is thrue that NN asked analyst to be patience about "wireless" guidence, because the company is in the process of approaching others customers (recent Korean Telecom is the good example).Hovewer, it is obvious that this bussines can only add to the bottom line.Still analyst are not ready to increase NN estimate. I would call this case as a compleate lack of confidence , at least on the surface. Time will tell.

Regards
Zbyslaw

Doug,

You make some very interesting points. There is an "irraltional exuberance" to borrow a phrase of one of your heros, on this thread. I can't figure it out. There is a clear disconnect between the NN bulls and market realities and I haven't been able to figure it out.

Some posters are clearly employees hiding under assumed names. SI has them all over. What is clearly missing from the NN thread is the investor that has been burnt badly in investing in NN. Someone who holds a grudge, who hates being lied to by TM, who doesn't believe the market share, mgnt leadership and promisses of a better tomorrow.

NN investors want to believe, keep averaging down and fight all bearish comments with conviction and URLs.

Makes for fun reading, at any rate.

Cheers,

Peppe
