PC Video Camera - Anyone got any suggestions for a relatively decent camera for recording video on my WINDOWS NT machine? I'd love to check out video conferencing and would like to start by testing out some decent little camera. I've seen a bunch in the $150 to 200 buck range. Anyone have any experience, good or bad? All sugestions, muy appreciado!

BTW...the Matrox g200 cards in dual configuration works well, installed quite easily, but you have to have 2 pci slots avail.

Regards,
Esteban

Dan, you may be right after all. Just got my first "memory test fail" on bootup. This at 400 mhz. Since I've now all but eliminated the SCSI as a cause of the problems (it doesn't happen as quickly but still happens), this looks like a sure bet. I wish I had a spare SDRAM, but since I don't, I think I'll just go swap this one this AM. Perhaps this explains, too, why I keep getting an error in the same location?

I'll let you and the thread know what I find.

Thanks,

Dave

Right you were, Dan: a ram problem indeed! Thanks to you, Sean, Zeuspaul, and Spots for all your help.

Made it over to Comp USA yesterday afternoon, and picked up a replacement 128 SDRAM (PNY brand, 16 Hyundai TFG-10 grade AA chips.) Put it in last night, and since then not even a hiccup, no matter what I throw at it. As you might imagine, I am ECSTATIC that the problems are solved. Frustrating that I didn't get it isolated earlier, but so pleasing that the main problems are completely solved.

I'll post a more complete writeup on the finished system shortly, complete with impressions and pitfalls. It certainly feels very, very snappy!

Again, I really appreciate the thread's help.

Regards,

Dave
