Thanks for the answer...

If you find out ANYTHING, please, oh pretty please let me know

INTC is my biggest stock position, but COMS/INTC, I think is a real
bad move, that will be very hard for INTC to digest.

Thz again for your prompt response

Jean

Paul,
I just returned from Bermuda. In the same hotel there happened to be a
3COM convention...Not to mention an Oracle, presidents club getaway.
The "pool" talk was something else. OOO la la.

Paul, >>>Many of them seem to be "sourced" by Herb Greenberg of the Street.Com and formerly the San Francisco Chronicle.<<<

Maybe he just doesn't like it when sportswriters call their stadium "Stupid Name Park". Intel stadium sounds a lot better than 3Com whatever.

In any case - why are people worried about a possible takeover of Stupid Name Company. 3COM has never been known for great management. Routers, modems, are a natural extension of the microprocessor.

Besides, I can't imagine Craig Barrett not bringing tremendous order to the 3COM organization. Manufacturing will be streamlined and all waste, duplication, stupidity will be eliminated real quick. Everybody will get their marching orders into the new millenium to connect 1B computers.

Cisco will now get some real competition. The market is just too big to leave it all to Cisco.

Besides, a name change for 3COM can't be bad - sales have to increase. With a name like that how could they sell anything?

Will the 49ers play the NFC Championship game in Intel Park?

Regards,

Mary
