hmmm... interesting... AJ is saying that CCI and CDNOW have competitive prices with each other and that CCI won't work..

if CCI had been first online then would that mean that CDNOW would fail???

also, I was at Super Software the other day .. and Win98 is selling their for $90.... Electronic Boutique selling for $90... CompUSA $90...

seems to me in a free enterprise there's room for competition.. even if they sell at the same prices...

I believe there are some strengths and weaknesses to BOTH CCI/TSIG and CDNOW.... but to say or imply as AJ has that because the prices are relatively the same that TSIG/CCI will fail is ignorant...

time will tell... but there's PLENTY of room on the net for competition... the key will be marketing plan.. strategic partnerships... and to keep costs to a MINIMUM!

profit is profit... we don't have to be better than everyone else...we just have to be good enough to make a profit...
remember TSIG's call center remains the BACKBONE of TSIG's future... CCI is just a bonus..

Just registered and ordered a music card for 40 CD's for $15.99 -$2.00 for Grand Opening Special (good until Sept 30). And chose to recieve the music card in the mail with a $2.00 P/H charge. Everything went through pretty smoothly. Can't wait to order my first CD! GO TSIG!!!

MskiHntr, we must be ready for Scrutiny.

Thank you for considering my post.
I know that musiccard and call center is
more a show piece for future ventures, but
they need this to succeed and generate
cash flow, or there won't BE any future.

What people on this thread ignore is that
now that the site is open, independent
journilists will check out and compare
TSIG to the competition even more brutally
than I just did. While Gordon may be good
with spinning his press releases, We've all
read reviews of TSIG's competitors that were
very critical. No telling what they'll write
when they get their hands on our site.

FYI: still long in the tooth 100,000 @.36

Comments:
TSIG S&H is $2 first CD, $1 each additional
CD, so 5 CD's would be 2+(4*1)=6
Many recent titles at CDNOW sell for more
than 11.49, so 10.99 may be a better deal.
I used Windham Hill titles as an example
of what I myself would order to update my
collection. I'm much more likely to buy
recent titles in a local store where there
is a social atmosphere for buying. That's
why buying books and CD's online will never
be as profitable as buying Airline Tickets
online. Their comes a point where people
WANT to go to the store and browse as part
of the purchasing experience, even if it
means paying tax and parking. However,
in 8,000 miles of flying I do every year,
I've NEVER actually walked into the agency.
So I hope that Travel Ticketing initiative
is announced sooner, rather than later.
