The prosecution of Jim Guy Tucker only proves my point. His malfeasance had nothing to do with Clinton, nothing to do with Whitewater, and nothing even to do with actions while he was Governor or Lieutenant Governor. He was caught in the IC sweep (for actions he took while a private citizen) because it was thought he may have dirt on Clinton to dispense. He did not, and he's the worse for it. Tucker should have been prosecuted by the local federal prosecutor; that's what they're there for.

Doughboy.

Bill-

<<What is he[Jim Guy Tucker], a potted plant?>>

No, simply inconvenient to the worldview of people determined to serve up all manner of excuses for the crooked sleazebag in the Oval Office, and therefore ignored.

Larry

P.S. Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?

P.P.S. I forget who it was who made the point, in response to some claim about Sleazebag Bill's "private life" that he was using public time and facilities for all this "private" activity that the peasants shouldn't concern themselves with, but this was a nice quote from today's WSJ:

"When a public official lies in a public event speaking to the American people, invoking the public trust, that makes it public, unfortunately," says Harvard professor Sissela Bok, author of the books "Lying" and "Secrets."
