I totally agree with you. I think that Reynold's paper gives a very lucid account of Japan's predicament as well as very valuable if not simple ideas to deal with the underlying problems. It is also true that it is hard to find anything constructive about Japan anywhere these days. The SI threads that I have visited searching for good comments are always uniformly full of doom and gloom.

Makes me think that we are very close to a bottom here. That the precipice that is referred to in the more recent article that I posted is probably the bottom. Now we *just* need those *burocratas* in Japan to unlock the tax system that is killing them (and us) as we speak as soon as possible.

Japan is key for a new cycle of prosperity for Latin America and the world..
