Well to weigh in here on Clinton, I think the Republicans and Democrats pandering to the salacious public interest is going to backfire. Hounding him from office with these Jerry Springer like releases will not set well with this voter. The sanctimonious full court press on the sorry backwater of his character will surely reflect on those most anxious to release these testimony tapes.

If the facts don't support his impeachment, then focusing on the details in an effort to demonize him and getting him to resign seems offensive. And a terrible precedent.

I would think that Newt, were he to actually reach out and help the country to heal by calling for a quick end and resolution, could even begin to look presidential. All of those taking the high moral ground, and prolonging the discussion of details, and the demonmizing of this flawed man will only insure moral attack ads for themselves and will further entrench negative politics as a feature of our system.

What do we accomplish by humiliating him. At this point I for one will not vote for any member of congress that would vote for impeachment on the basis of these intricately constructed charges. (Neither would I vote for him again. But I am thinking that won't be an option.)

So there, I've said it. Just my opinion. Do your own DD.
