Todd,

Great to see you back on the thread! FYI - I spend a decent amount of time lurking on the AOL thread and David Haines was taking quite a bit of abuse from some of the thread members and decided to stop posting there. It does get a little heated over there at times :-)

I hope he is still lurking and will return at some point. He has a great deal of knowledge about the company and I value his opinions.

Regards,

Dave

I guess I'm not the only one worked up about this title. I can only
imagine what else they have planned for 1999 to be able to take the
time out of their schedule to put out this press release.

THQ's gone fishin'

THQ sent out a press release letting everyone know that they will be
releasing the first-ever B.A.S.S. fishing title to the N64 platform.
Yeah, we know, we can barely contain our excitement as well. From the
release:

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with a publisher
like THQ that is so respected throughout the industry," said Paul
Hoffmeier, producer, Mass Media. "This agreement really leverages each
company's strength: our expertise in developing games for the Nintendo
64 and THQ's proven strength in marketing and distribution."

What we would like to know is, what other games has Mass Media
expertly developed for the Nintendo 64? Any way you cut it, this game
will probably have a more involving story than Quest 64.

Chris: We're not going to confirm anything yet, but we believe that
Nintendo may use this title to gather support for the upcoming Six Pak
controller device. We'll keep you posted.
