Why do you think so?

Lucent and AT&T are gobling everything up in sight and they don't even have a coherent strategy. And, their stock have been going up like crazy.

Intel's strategy is clear and elegant. What is good for connecting 1 Billion computers together is good for Intel.

I think it is a great fit and Intel management, financial strength, manufacturing know how, and advanced R&D is just what 3COM needs right now.
