re margin
Right. 20-20% of equity (in the margin account: I have other accounts that are IRAs and not marginable.)
But what happens is I start out with 25-30% and then DELL goes up and I am down to 20% so I buy more and then it goes down and I'm at 40%.
Must admit it doesnt go down much though or stay there long.
I hurt my margin badly by buying (some) at 121 and selling (some of the some) at 99 15/16.
Of course its somewhat back now.
