Interesting, your saying public opinion means nothing,
or is it important only when it fits your beliefs?

I thought public opinion elects politicians.

Many republicans have suddenly stopped making comments about impeachment, softened their rhetoric, after
reading those polls--knowing keeping the voters on their side is more important than taking a hard core stance for impeachment at all costs.

After all, politicians may lose their jobs if they go
against public opinion, their job security, perks ect,
are not something they will fool with--
