DIMD getting into the consumer electronics market... what a awesome move. I wish I thought of it... : )
Wish I had also thought about a player made by CREAF... He he I'm just joking about being a know it all. But I do : )

I'll say it again... DIMD is making in roads and is NOT even close to being as well positioned as CREAF. Its just such a no brainier I just can't see why CREAF isn't look at the area, it owns all it needs right now to make high quality... Lack of vision when it comes to thinking out of the box "we only make computer stuff". Good thing is with Cambridge SIM will have no choice over time but to do something with it other than make speakers. How about make speakers put um in a box(radio) and charge more? (Big plus are the speakers and many chips are made at cost... o boy).

---------this was a message to me on the CREAF news group--------
This is a bit late but here's the info on the Model 88 Radio by Cambridge
SoundWorks: Yes there will be a table radio ( Not clock radio) designed
by Henry Kloss and manufactured by Cambridge SoundWorks called the Model
88. To compare it to the Bose Wave radio is clearly a mistake. If the
radio by Bose is a "wave" then the Model 88 is a Typhoon. The design is
simple but the sound quality is incredible, not to mention the add on
remote clock device. Note: the model 88 does not have a built in clock
but has an optional IR clock that will control the radio which is
intended to sit across the room from the user like a good set of stereo
speakers would be placed. Wave radio owners will now know what they
didn't get for $349.99

The Desktop theater 5.1 will cost $299.99 ( speakers and Dolby digital
decoder included). the 4 point surround speaker system is currently
available although in most major retailers ( CompUSA etc.) however they
may be backordered due to high demand. try ordering them direct from
Cambridge SoundWorks.

It is only my assumption and not based on any fact that Creative could
possible enter the consumer audio arena with its acquisition of Cambridge
SoundWorks. However this question can be better answered by someone at
Creative.

Hope this helps.
