Important for The Future: What I see enfolding now is a perfect scenario for traders... This devastation from August was really excellent timing. This is the time that 'earnings plays' will be the most profitable ever. Stock valuations have been cut to such an extent that being overbought (a problem I faced with earnings plays in the last 8 quarters) is much less a weighing factor than ever before. It is no coincidence that the plays were up both in anticipation and after the report this quarter more than in previous quarters. I saw signs even during the devastation when earnings plays like CMVT, JDEC bucked the trend. Not just earnings plays, but the 8-15 dollar stocks, that 'older' readers to this thread know I barely touched before, are becoming my 'favorites' now. This is because they were cut down from 40-60% from their highs. When they rebound we have 10% plus rebounds in one trade. Sectors like semis, banks, oils, airlines, even brokerages are coming back in 10% increases intraday. Stocks like AFCI, CYMI, AATT, ABTX are moving even 25% per session! We will find these stocks and profit from them. Luckily, they usually retreat after 1-3 days and become trades once again. I might not post as timely as before, but that's why we will have the chat room. There are just too many trades to track. For example I did not notice INTV today or BEAV becasue I was hurrying after CMGI... We have to track the daily watch lists and 'earnings plays' during the day. If you see a stock like INTV or GPSI and you want to know more about it, (i.e. confirm earnings dates, investor relations information) click on this url: quote.yahoo.com then put in the symbol and "click" on PROFILE and you will get the phone number for the company. The earnings dates I put in are from either YHOO, IBES, FIRST CALL or Briefing.com and smaller companies sometimes prereport or otherwise change their report date. They are very willing to confirm. That is what I did with PRGS and SLR.. Another thing I mention too much, but I have to, is take the stocks and put them in data bases for trading again and again. If the Brazilian stocks were down today they might rebound tomorrow. But if you don't have them in your database you will never know. There is not an infinite number of stocks, becasue we only want hi volume stocks with volume over 100 usually. You'll soon get used to seeing the same ones on the watch lists. That's it for now..
