I took the liberty of numbering your sentences.
That post contains two separate questions and issues, IMO.

1. To me, most of the posters on SI are self serving.
The question for me is: "how bad".

2. I think that a "promoter" should tell the truth.
If he's/she's found out that he/she didn't, I wouldn't mind him/her getting sanctions from the authorities.
