Richard....put your thoughts up to the mirror and you will understand why i am quite concerned about the economy of the USA...
<<The problems in Russia were caused
by poor leadership and malfeasance. There was little more we could have done to help Russia, nor
South Korea, Japan or Malaysia...they dug their own ditch with mountains of debt that finally
threatens to bury them.>>

we have poor leadership, malfeasance and all time debt....

I am not advocating isolationism directly, I am really just hopeful that we will not *rush* further into globalism.

I think the 'Star Trek' rendition of the 'new world order' is simply fantastic, and unlikely. (At least at this point in time)

If you believe imbalance on the side of isolationism could lead to war, I guess what I am saying is I believe that every step we take to 'global unity' is another step towards possible oppression. And that usually leads to the same result - war.

But we can remain active in the world and show that the U.S. understands its stake in the world picture...we have too much at stake to leave events to others' hands.

Agreed.

I don't want you to think I am some paranoid loon, but how long have these entities existed:

UN, IMF, G7, NAFTA, EC, and last but not least the internet? (among others)

I don't think I am the only reasonably<g> sane person to hope for great care to be taken in the quiet pursuit so obviously being manifest by these organizations (and tool).
