David, the GOP has been screaming about a smear campaign by Clinton, but it's completely unfounded. First they said that the WH smeared Tripp by reporting a shoplifting charge. That rumor was discredited by the New Yorker reporter who reported it. Then it was Burton's love child. Then it was Chenoweth's affair. Now it's Hyde. Salon has a full explanation of how they got the story. So stuff Hyde's righteous indignation. If Starr is going to put in his report that the President "manually stimulated" himself after a session with Lewinsky for no other reason than to embarrass and humiliate him, then everything is fair game.

Doughboy.
