J, this morning on CNBC a fund manager they invited touted AFS as THE financial stock to own because they only have a small presence oversea in Japan. After the market opened, AFS Oct 75 call option was heavily bought, so much so that over 1000 contracts were crossed. It was bought from 3/4 all the way to 1 1/2. Someone is making a maneuver here. I doubt it is just a blind bet. I suspect positive news/upgrades to come. Therefore, AFS may very well go higher. I would watch these call option open interest with close eye. However, AFS had made a 25% move in less than a week and they are gone from oversold to overbought. I bought Oct 70 put today but with one month to go I'm very relaxed. Also note that AFS is not completely alone here. Its companion KRB also has a field day closing at its upper BB. Something will happen very shortly. It can either go surfing higher or get bounced back.

Pete - I have never heard of short order being canceled either. However, that does not mean what Datek told you is not true. Have you posted on the Datek board to ask some of the regulars there? XMITE would be good too. I can hardly wait for their elusive 10Q.
