Tape out 1 in 1998 - something wasn't right. Tape out 2 in 1998 - something wasn't right. Tape out 3 in 1998 - about a week ago - on 0.25 micron process. Halla admits the 0.25 micron MXi will not go to production. Too Slow? Burns Too much power? Too Large a die size? Halla won't say. NSM is now developing a 0.18 micron process.(Halla and friends are HAPPY CAMPERs with the 0.18 micron process. MXi will have to be shrunk or re-laid out and will not ship until 1999. Looks like Halla is searching for a river of his own - to sink in. Paul
