Not me. Ever. I have often voted against my selfish best interest, narrowly understood. I vote for what I think is best for the country as a whole. Always. Always have. Always will.

When I thought that rigid Democratic ideology and failed programs needed reforming, although supposedly it was motivated by do good motivation, I voted for Reagan. And Bush. And Republicans in 94. I also voted for Clinton. Twice. I knew Clinton would probably raise my taxes. I thought that was necessary (politically, to pave the way for the second step, and also morally) as the first step towards a balanced budget. The second being some real budget slashing. Which I supported by Republican votes in 94.

Les, that is the great hypocrisy, do you vote for what will benefit you,or your children, and your children's children. And why, when the most important people to vote for,the local representatives,do people not pay attention, and vote for people who sleep through Congress?
Why do we focus on a man who has so little bearing on our everyday lives, instead of the people who do? Such a hypocritical thing to do,and I am so proud of you Les,do you know Vladamir?
