correction- a CE mark is an certification that -any- equipment, medical or otherwise, meets certain safety & operational standards.
Very much like the UL (usa) & CSA (canada) approvals. CE mark does not
imply that the D1000 has any degree of accuracy in measuring blood
glucose level. In fact, it could be grossly inaccuate 100% of the
time, but still obtain the approval. Furthermore, it is a fabrication
to say "FDA does look favorable on the CE mark".
