I think it is the weak demand thing. I do not know why "some"
people were expecting something +ve from MEMC - it was pretty much
a given that with the foundries hurting the price of 8" wafers had
to plummet.

DPMI is relatively independent of fabs being built. I think what they are saying is that design demand has slacked off and more importantly (for them) prices suck - so here's one in favor of the folks who think the world is going to end in a global recession thing.
