There is a small, but interesting article in the September 14, 1998 issue of Network World. Page 17. It is titled, "Novell set to launch clustering technology".

Interesting quote:

"Novell High Availability Server, formerly referred to as Phase One of the Orion project, will provide automatic failover capabilities between two NetWare 4.X servers. This software requires shared SCSI disk space and supports a high-speed Fibre Channel interconnect between the two servers."

Finally, someone is using Fibre Channel in a clustering environment. It makes sense, because both storage and network protocols can travel over the same link.

I am not implying that this has anything to do with Ancor directly, but I did suggest to Ancor a couple of years ago that they work with Novell on something just like this.
