It's been a long, hard year Bob, but it has paid off big time! If you or anyone else has any questions regarding our new acquisition, I'll do my best to answer them. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 22, 1998 Further details on Mexican and Canadian acquisitions announced September 14, 1998 Santa Maria Project, Mexico The Santa Maria property is comprised of six mineral claims totaling 6681 hectares located 230 kms southwest of the city of Chihuahua .The property is surrounded by Francisco Gold's claims with its southwest boundary situated approximately 6 km. from Francisco Gold's El Sauzal deposit and lies within the Sierra Madre Precious Metal Belt and the historic Batopilas Mining District. Rocks within this district consist of Cretaceous and Lower Tertiary age volcanics and sediments intruded by various phases of granitic plutons. Numerous north and Northwest trending fault zones transect the geology and are the loci of precious metal mineralization. A recent site inspection and sampling program by Mr. Jack Bolen BSc., (Report dated May 1998) was commissioned by Hexagon and will provide Raindrop with the framework for an initial exploration program. Analytical results from grab samples attained exceptionally high levels and duplicating these values will be Raindrop's immediate priority. Raindrop's field study of this property will commence immediately following completion of its financing arrangements. Rainy River district of northwestern Ontario These three properties (Camp River, Cousineau and Bad Vermillion) are all located on map sheets NTS 52 - C - 9 or 10. The properties (17,880 acres) are located 65 kilometers east of Ft. Frances, Ontario. Access is provided by Ontario Highway 11 and all weather roads which transect the properties. The area of interest is a structural wedge bounded by two regional right lateral strike - slip faults; the Quetico to the north and the Seine River to the south. The geology of this wedge is a mixed package of intrusives, volcanics and sediments. The metamorphic grade increases to the west and ranges from green schist to amphibolite. Alteration includes sulphide, silica and iron carbonate. The mineralization includes gold, silver and sulphides of copper, zinc and lead. Mineralization on the Bad Vermillion Property occurs in quartz veins associated with second order faults that have splayed off of the regional faults. The wall rock is commonly not mineralized or altered. Gold was discovered in the 1880's and a minimum of 200 gold bearing veins were discovered within ten years. Three gold mines were in operation on the Bad Vermillion claims before the Klondike gold rush (Foley, Golden Star and Olive). On the Cousineau property, the mineralization occurs in a broad zone (800 feet wide) that was explored and saw limited gold production before the turn of the century. The Camp River Project straddles the Seine River Fault. The area was well prospected in the 1890's. Geophysical anomalies and widespread alteration indicate the presence of mineralization. Raindrop will commission an independent evaluation on these properties following the completion of previously announced financing arrangements.
