One thing... any California Seller, whether they are in business or not, needs to collect sales tax from the buyer and pay it to the State Franchise Tax Board... I'm sure these online auctions will eventually get very close scrutiny from the tax people... and...what a nice little paper trail there is...

Don't worry about spilling the beans about Ebay on E*Trade ....

E*Trade has already publicized this well, it is common knowledge.

The fact that you offered this information, openly on this forum, shows that you really care about helping your fellow investors here -- hopefully, other people on this thread will remember your good intentions and return the favor to you in the future. (via PRIVATE messages).

There are catches to this (E*Trade/IPO deal). Read the fine print, etc. Unless you are an institution or have an established account with the "5 million" balance, you don't get the $xxx originally IPO price unconditionally. EBAY is gonna fly!!!!

All IMHO -- Thanks Vbroady
